Our nation's Founding Fathers coined the expression that appears on the Great Seal of the United States, "E Pluribus Unum" which means "from many, one." Simply put, our nation's founders aspired to make the United States of America a place where people of different backgrounds, faiths, ethnicity, etc., could come together and be one as Americans. That is the promise of America that makes our nation exceptional. Donald Trump represents the antithesis of this vision. Trump's goal is not to unite but to divide Americans - to divide us by religion, race and ethnicity. To pit American against American.
