Roughly 25% of the American people have now voted to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in 8 states. And poll after poll indicates that the majority of the population of the United States is ready to end the war on marijuana in particular. This petition calls for a full removal of marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act and an end to all Federal funds being spent on marijuana law enforcement by Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions and the redirection of those funds to the enforcement of opioid drug laws and opioid drug treatment programs. This is common sense regulatory action that needs to taken as soon as possible.
