All elected officials should be required to live on Social Security benefits and use the same health insurance like all American citizens. Currently, this elite group is exempt from the burdens their dedicated voters are required to live on during their retirement years. Our constitution begins, "We, the people" not "we, the people, except for the elected officials" and all laws that pertain to the American public should also pertain to our elected officials.
