Design laws to protect tattooed/body modified employees from discrimination and gaining employment.

Created by K.T. on January 02, 2014

Currently, the U.S Government as well as State Governments, allow employers to legally deny any applicant from employment if he/she possess any visible body tattoos or body modifications. This is because there is a simple lack of litigation which enforces and protects a tattooed/modified individual from such discrimination in the hiring process. As tattooing and body modification is becoming more common, many applicants believe this discrimination violation of many human and civil rights described in Amendment 1 of our U.S. Constitution. These rights include, freedom of speech and expression as well as freedom to choose and practice any religion. Lack of protection for any tattooed/modified individuals also violates the Title VII Civil Rights Act: Equal Employment Opportunity
