Employers are taking advantage of the high unemployment rates by requiring burdensome reporting on the part of applicants. This must be compensated or outlawed.
Intrusive information such as income, credit scores, criminal history & other information frequently have no bearing on an employee's potential and often lack a clear bona fide occupational qualification.
Furthermore, the online applications are tedious, time consuming, require multiple passwords (often with ridiculous criteria) and tests.
Therefore other than contact information an employer may only ask for a resume.
Any additional information: screening, skills tests and a physical interview are subject to minimum wage standards of the United States or local authority of the applicant's residence, whichever is higher.
