We petition the State Department to Designate Boko Haram a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). Boko Haram, a Jihadist terror group operating in Nigeria, has killed more Christians in terrorist attacks in 2012 than the total number of Christians killed in the rest of the world combined.
Boko Haram ranks 2nd after the Taliban,yet none of the five most recently designated FTOs made the top 10 list. It has killed citizens of 15 countries. 30% of religious targets in 2012 were in Nigeria & 60% of 325 educational targets were attacked in Nigeria and Pakistan.
The US has stopped short of naming it an FTO – implying that attacking innocent civilians for their faith, bombing churches & schools, and calling for jihad against the West does not constitute terrorism. It undermines US credibility.
