Gun violence has been with us for too long. One research claims that the number of citizens killed by gun violence reached the number of U.S. soldiers killed in the Vietnam war.
Too many victims are innocent citizens just happen to be living in the neighborhood or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Too many victims have their lives taken away while they were still young. These victims' families and friends suffered and are suffering still in silence.
With non-abating waves of gun violence, each time with greater horror and scale, we the people need to come together to comfort all the innocent victims' families and friends. We the people need to show the nation that assault weapons and high impact bullets do not defend our country's freedom and liberty. It befouls them.
