Designate the East Broad Top Railroad as a National Monument and secure funding to restore and operate the railroad.

Created by J.G. on April 15, 2014

We petition the White House to secure funding and resources to ensure the preservation and restoration of the East Broad Top Railroad.

Those who sign here request the United States government to designate the East Broad Top Railroad in Orbisonia, PA as a National Park to be operated by the National Park Service.

The East Broad Top Railroad is a narrow gauge short line railroad originally chartered in 1856. The railroad is unique that the entire railroad is a complete, original railroad, rather than a collection of pieces from various locations. The mission is to restore the railroad to it's original operating condition, including all 33 miles of the original line from Mount Union, PA to Robertsdale, PA.
