Designate Election Day as a National Holiday to ensure all voters have equal access to the polling places.

Created by J.D. on March 20, 2013

Our Constitution guarantees voting rights to our citizens. That should include creation of a National Holiday on Election Day to ensure that working individuals do not have to take time off from their jobs, or stand in excessive lines after normal working hours. This will increase general turnout at the polls, ensure representation of a broader spectrum of American citizens and produce a better democracy.
