We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Designate Electoral Systems as Critical Infrastructure

Created by M.M. on December 31, 2016

Because they are vital to American democracy, and under active threat, electoral systems and major political party systems should be immediately designated as Critical Infrastructure by executive order under Presidential Policy Directive PPD-21.

Russian intelligence agencies hacked computer systems of US national political committees in 2016, raising fears of a compromised presidential election. There is a worldwide increase in cyber espionage directed against electoral systems and political parties. If hackers ever succeed in sabotaging computers used to scan or tabulate ballots, American democracy will be at grave risk.
