This is where immigrants to the west came to file land claims and establish settlements in the west for the United States, pushing the boundaries of the country to the Pacific Ocean. This site needs to be saved recognized, and part of the National Parks Department. This would enable more visitors and better recognition for the Official End of the Trail.
