Funding for a live bugle presentation of Taps at veteran funerals and other memorial services have been de-funded leading to what is deemed an "acceptable" alternative of using a recording.
Our service members took an oath to, Support and defend our Constitution. Our service members place their lives forefront for our Freedom. For that they deserve a live playing of Taps as a sign of respect and honor for their selflessness and service.
Providing a live bugler is a small price to pay considering the work our service members do, being away from family on extended deployments, community out-reach, humanitarian aid. Their jobs do place them in dangerous situations, but they willingly accept the challenges so that We can enjoy Our Freedoms
