Anonymous has attacked the infrastructure of allied nations, such as Israel, in a declared solidarity with the known terrorist organization Hamas. These attacks targeted not only the infrastructure of the Israeli government, but also private citizens who were in no way affiliated with the government or its activities.
Anonymous has recently attacked US Government agencies, not for the first time, and threatened to release certain files unless the government meets its demands. The contents of these files are unknown, and may not pose any legitimate potential harm to the United States, yet highlight the groups continued efforts to use a means of force, or threat of the same in order to obtain its often-stated political goal of changing United States policies in one or more areas.
