Designate July 20th as Lunar Landing Day, and make it a holiday honoring scientific achievement and progress.

Created by S.T. on August 25, 2012

On July 20, 1969, man landed on the Moon. This represented the pinnacle of human achievement, and demonstrated that the possibilities for mankind are limited only by what we can imagine and our will to make it so. A national holiday celebrating scientific advancement will serve to help focus our country on education and science, and serve as a beacon to guide us as we move forward towards even more daring goals.
