On July 20th, 1969 the Apollo 11 lunar lander touched down on the Moon and with it two astronauts. Upon setting foot on the Moon for the first time, Neil Armstrong spoke "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". For the first time in history a human had just set foot on a celestial body beyond Earth. This event has historic significance for all of humanity and should be a cause for celebration.
