designate July 21 as an annual holiday celebrating and in honor of comedians.

Created by R.D. on March 03, 2015

Comedians give the gift of laughter. They make us re-examine ourselves, each other, and the world around us. They make us smile at our lowest point and I can verify that personally. At my lowest point, I watched a special of Christopher Titus's that I can honestly say helped me survive this horrible time in my life. He had went through something similar.
They entertain our troops. They are one of the purest examples of our freedom here in the United States. All the while, some of them are themselves, hurting. We have lost many wonderful comedians that I have to wonder about. I have to wonder if they knew just what they meant to us. Just how much they were appreciated.
Let's show them. Let's designate July 21- the birthday of the late, great Robin Williams- as "The Day of the Comedian".
