Designate the Ku Klux Klan, other violent white supremacist groups and their affiliates as terrorist organizations

As we grapple with the recent tragedy of the Charleston shootings and the horror behind the depraved act, we need to recognize the facts behind this TERRORIST attack and respond to it and those involved, directly and indirectly, as such. Designating the Ku Klux Klan, and other violent white supremacist groups, along with their affiliates as terrorist organizations is a step we need to take to prevent this tragedy from repeating itself. Although they were not officially involved with the attack in Charleston, we must recognize that the shared ideology and motivations of Roof and these groups is very real and very dangerous. Charleston is proof that terrorism is not exclusive to radical Islam, but a spurge deep with American society that has haunted our history and terrorized our nation.
