On the third Monday in January of every year, we honor a brave civil rights leader named Martin Luther King Jr. He was a good man stood up to oppression in a dark time of your nation’s history. However, Dr. King was not the only brave man to stand up to oppression in the United States. Another man by the name of Cesar Estrada Chavez also stood against oppression and injustices toward Hispanics in the U.S.. We should honor this brave man for what he has done for civil rights and the ever growing Hispanic community of the United Sates. I ask the President, Congress & the people of this nation to please make this petition a reality. Please make March 31 of every year Cesar Estrada Chavez Day. A federal Holiday.
