Designate September 11 to be a national holiday and day of memorial.

Created by N.L. on September 11, 2014

This petition is asking that September 11 be designated as a national holiday with the same regard as other national holidays such as memorial day and independence day. September 11th will forever be our nation's unofficial day of solace and reflection. Let's honor the valiantly brave men and women who responded and lost their lives trying to save others. Lest not forget the many victims who lost their lives or were forever changed because of this day. Last but not least, lets honor the American pride and resolve that brought this country together united regardless of politically party, race, ethnicity, or religion. Just as other holidays serve as a reminder to us of the importance of that day, September 11th should too be an official national holiday.
