As Americans are we not entitled to a national fish? Fish have been a staple of the American diet, lifestyle, and economy for decades, yet year after year, we continue to turn a blind eye to our nation's lack of a national fish. The time is now to end this American atrocity. The question to be asked is "why tuna? There is a surprisingly simple answer. Not only is tuna the most consumed fish in the United States, but it can be eaten fresh, frozen or canned, symbolizing the freedom for which our country stands.
