Destroy all nuclear weapons

Nuclear weapons have the power to destroy the world many times over. Do we really want this power? An argument could be made that we need this to defend our country but if one nuke is launched it would spark an all out nuclear war destroying our world. This is inevitable unless we destroy all nuclear weapons and ensure that no one creates new nuclear weapons. In order to do this we should create a committee with members from every nation who inspect all other countries for nuclear weapons.
