With all the advanced computer technology we have now, the aircraft that attacked the Doctors Without Borders Hospital (for which everybody was advised of the GPS coordinates) would have had the means to lock in those GPS coordinates on our gun ship, blocking our weapons from firing on that hospital.
Strongly recommend that if out military does not yet have that capability, we immediately develop and employ such technology.
In this case, we fired on the only hospital around for miles for over an hour, while wounded hospital staff called U.S. and Afghan contacts begging us to stop the attack; I would think giving all troops involved even a sticky note containing the hospital's coordinates should have sufficed.
We must ensure we never again perpetrate such an inexcusable atrocity
