develop and promulgate a specific and detailed definition of the term "assault weapon".

Created by B.C. on December 25, 2012

While the term "assault rifle" has a specific, limited definition; the term "assault weapon" has no such definition. Because "assault weapon" has no such official definition it is subject to random and provocative use by uniformed journalists and unscrupulous politicians. By assigning a specific definition to this term we will limit the confusion and angst caused by the continued use of an inaccurate term.
