We petition the administration to develop a national firearm ID card. As the possession of firearms has been linked, in part, to national defense, we feel it would fall under the purview of the national government to develop a national id system for the possession of firearms for the purpose of national defense. In addition, a national ID system:
A.) Would eliminate the often disparate standards between states' licensing boards
B.) Ensure both the states and the federal government can quickly called upon its citizenry to aid in defense in times of extreme upheaval
C.) Could be combined with the national draft to ensure more citizens are able to serve if called upon.
