Develop a plan to promote firearm security

Between 2008-2010, the BATF reports a total of 74,105 lost or stolen firearms by federal firearms licensees alone. Lost and stolen firearms are a primary source of firearms for criminals. When looking at the number of lost or stolen firearms, including those lost/stolen from law abiding gun owners, it is clear that we must convince the public to better secure their firearms from criminals. This administration should promote investment in safe and secure equipment to protect firearms from making their way into the hands of criminals.
