It is imperative the United States government develop policies that will preserve fresh water. As well as, fund research for alternative conservation solutions. This natural resource has the potential of becoming scarce all over the world in the near future if immediate action is not taken. Over-consumption and the failure of policies geared towards turning unusable water into usable water are the main causes of this problem. Once a natural resource is depleted, there is no way of reversing it. Action must be taken before it's too late! Nothing on our planet has the possibility of surviving without this vital but dwindling natural resource. Urge our government to give this issue the dire attention it deserves for the sake of all humanity.
