Develop a policy to influence the Japanese government to end their whaling.

The time has come for the US to strongly protest the whaling being done by Japan. The "research" excuse has gone on long enough. The reality is that whales are being slaughtered for food and without regard to pain and distress of the animals. This is wanton animal abuse and it has gone on for too long. The time is NOW that it has to end. The US has to send a strong, official statement or adopt sanctions on Japan, to force them into stopping the practice. Please join me in asking for action by the US Government on this issue.
