A secure online system to accommodate voting in national, state and local elections would significantly expand voter participation due to ease of access, eliminate issues of absentee voting and long lines at voting sites, reduce the potential of voter fraud, increase the speed and reliability of voter results, and lower the cost of elections.
Just as importantly, a system designed to collect and present voter input quickly, efficiently and at minimal cost could also be used by our legislators to conduct referendums or poll the voting public’s support (of lack thereof) for proposed legislation and issues of national, state or local importance, eliminating the gridlock caused by elected officials speculating and debating about what "We the People" really want.
