Develop a secure online system to facilitate voting and polling voter preferences on legislative matters.

Created by J.S. on January 25, 2013

A secure online system to accommodate national, state and local elections would reduce the potential of voter fraud (by use of valid social security numbers), significantly expand voter participation due to ease of access, essentially eliminate the issues of absentee voting and long lines at voting locations, increase the speed and reliability of voter results, and lower the cost of elections.

Once established, a system designed to collect and present voter input quickly, efficiently and at minimal cost could be used by our legislators to poll the voting public regarding support (of lack thereof) for proposed legislation and issues of national, state or local importance, going a long way in eliminating the gridlock caused by elected officials debating what "We the People" really want.
