There are so many petitions on the white house petition site that sound similar that they are splitting the number of signatures that are cumulatively supporting the same cause. if 10 similar petitions each have 2500 signatures none will be acted upon, whereas one petition with 25000 signatures will be addressed.

This petition does not involve earth-moving legislation, or polarizing beliefs. Just some work on the part of a programmer and some common sense.
