devise a national day of observance for those who care for and help others in times of need whom are not recognized.

This petition is intended to recognize those who serve others through disaster relief, community support, first response, education, and other means who are otherwise not recognized. This includes members of the Red Cross/Crescent, Peace Corps, Doctors without Borders, volunteer coaches, community organizers, big brothers/sisters, pro bono attorneys, and anyone else who takes the time to make the world a better place through outreach activities. It is the sincere hope of this petition that the unnamed be recognized for their efforts and dedication.
