This petition demands that the White House devise a plan to construct the technological infrastructure for a secure, voter-friendly online voting system that will allow every U.S. citizen to vote online in all federal, sate, and local elections. An online voting system can save tax payers millions of dollars each election and will benefit those who find it inconvenient to vote at local polling stations greatly. Most importantly, an online voting system will lead to a significant increase in voter participation, especially among younger voters. The only concern opponents of such a system will have is security. However the notion that the most powerful nation on Earth being unable to construct an online voting system secure enough to facilitate the process of choosing our leaders is absurd.
