Devote a larger portion of the federal budget to the subsidization of alternative sources of energy

Created by J.T. on September 26, 2011

Alternative sources of energy (wind, solar, etc.) are more self-sustaining forms of energy than oil, coal, and natural gas and they are currently too expensive and inefficient because there is not enough capital available for sufficient research and development.

It would be in our country's best interest to invest more in such energies that are not only virtually unlimited and environmentally friendly, but would also create jobs in the United States and curb our dependence on foreign resources.
