Each year, a considerable number of road accidents occur in the USA just because of texting-while-driving and thousands of deaths and injuries happen as a consequence. Texting is an attractive communication-option, specially to the Teenage groups, however, it is highly distracting while driving, leading to numerous number of accidents.
We therefore, urge our Government to advise and direct the Cell Phone companies operating in the USA to enable a feature in their phones, so that texting option is automatically dis-abled whenever the phone senses that there is a high-speed movement associated with the phone or the phone-carrier. The service will be re-instated as soon as the speed goes down to zero or a lower threshold number. This way we can keep texting always a safe option.
