direct the Big 10 to change its football divisions' names and alignments so that they are more geographically sensible.

Currently, the Big 10's football divisions are known as the Legends and Leaders. It's already hard for fans to remember who's in each division. And now, with the addition of Maryland and Rutgers, splitting the divisions into a more traditional East/West geographic alignment makes more sense than ever. It will allow for better rivalries by leveraging the schools' proximity to each other. The East would be Indiana, Maryland, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers and Wisconsin, which is the current Leaders Division minus Illinois and plus the two easternmost schools, Maryland and Rutgers. The West would be Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Northwestern, which is the current Legends Division plus Illinois.
