Direct the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) to create a standard for Consumer Credit Scores.

Created by G.M. on April 16, 2013

The three credit reporting bureaus have differing standards of what information is included and what formula they use for calculating an individuals FICO score. With the effect that there is no standard; that a consumer can rely upon to determine whether the denial of credit is justified.

Therefore, the government has a significant role to mandate through the cfpb a standard whereby a consumer can rely upon a readily discernible credit score when: they apply for credit, apply for a job, or a rental dwelling.

Thus, consumers deserve a clear, concise, reliable credit score that is applicable to all three credit bureaus. That protects their rights to the American dream of self determination, property and happiness. We petition the government to address this issue.
