Direct the DEA to reschedule Cannabis or remove it from the drug schedule list and admit that it is in fact medicinal.

Based on the fact that the Department of Health and Human Services has been issued US Patent #6630507 for Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants, It is completely absurd and nonsensical that Cannabis remains as a Schedule I drug on the DEA's drug scheduling list. This patent blatantly shows that the federal government recognizes that Cannabis does indeed have medicinal properties. The war on drugs that started under Nixon has been a massive waste of resources and the failed policy of imprisoning people for non-violent drug offenses is inhumane and needs to come to an end. A large majority of Americans agree that the time has come to tax and regulate Cannabis like alcohol and tobacco.
