This petition respectfully requests the President direct the Department of the Army to significantly improve the functionality and user-friendliness of its Enterprise Email system. The Army recently migrated to an Outlook Web Access that is nearly impossible to use in a consistent manner. Further, over half of the Army resides in the reserve components, where more of their day-to-day business is done over these systems, they are more dependent upon only these systems, and lack access to the tech support resources commonly found on active-duty installations. As it stands right now, requiring Common Access Card (CAC) access, incompatibility issues with certain operating systems and numerous other shortcomings make this system impossible to use reliably for a significant portion of the force.
