Direct the Department of Defense, to update DD-214s and pay reparations to 33000 veterans wrongfully classed 2001-2010

Created by C.D. on February 21, 2013

Between 2001 through 2010, over 33,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines were discharged from the U.S. Military under the premise of "Personality Disorder". Many of these men and women who served honorably were denied benefits and removed from the military simply because the military did not wish to treat or pay benefits to these veterans who served our country.

While the military maintains the meaning of the code is that it was a pre-existing condition prior to service. In many cases it was not. Many suffered depression, PTSD, and as well, the military simply used the code to get rid of the soldiers.

This impacts veterans in the process of gaining employment getting treatment, and access to benefits earned or due. Sign to ask the DoD to remove the codes and pay the vets effected
