direct the Department of Justice to prosecute Ben Affleck under the Espionage Act to keep him from playing Batman.

Created by C.C. on August 24, 2013

Dear President Obama,

Americans across the political spectrum are concerned by the present breadth of prosecution under the Espionage Act of 1917. Traditionally employed against activities such as spying, recent arguments have interpreted the Act more broadly, including the withholding of information and communication with media sources (and in some instances, whistleblowing).

We, the undersigned, disagree with this sweeping interpretation of the Act, but would at least like to see it accomplish something good for a change.

Please direct the Justice Department to charge Ben Affleck with violations of the Espionage Act, so that he will be in prison and unable to play Batman.

We're sure you can come up with something.

You don't have to lock him up for 35 years. Two should suffice.
