For all those with student debt:
A 2015 press release of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reports that student loan debt in America stood at $1.16 trillion, exceeding both auto loan debt and credit card debt.
A student's academic transcript is often required to get a job or to further his or her education, such as when transferring schools or going on to a higher degree.
A virtually universal practice of universities, however, is to withhold transcripts from students indebted to their schools.
This practice has created an epidemic of students unable to further their education and gain employment.
The Department of Education encourages educational institutions to extort students via this immoral tactic.
Mr. President, direct your Dept. of Education to reverse this position.
