According to the CDC, one in 88 children in America will be diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy is a proven, data-based approach which has helped many of these children.
Sadly, families learn early-on that the care they need most, is both economically unattainable and not covered by most healthcare plans.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) includes "Behavioral Therapy" in the basic benefits package for all healthcare plans offered in the state healthcare exchanges. Since the passage of the ACA, the Dept. of Health and Human Services has allowed states to decide for themselves what will be included.
