Currently there are 51 unidentified bodies buried at the Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, FL. The State of Florida has dragged its feet in conducting a full investigation into the criminal allegations surrounding this now closed school. Concurrently the county in which the school is located continues its attempts to stymie the investigation, now launching a lawsuit to prevent the exhumation of the bodies located in the unmarked graves.
It falls within the purview of the federal government to investigate alleged civil right's violations committed by agents of a member state. If no misconduct occurred then at the least the bodies can be returned to their surviving families.
