America is faced with the threat of the Oval Office being occupied by a suspected serial killer. Many Americans believe Ted Cruz, a republican presidential candidate, could be behind the still-unsolved California murders during the late 60’s and early 70’s; a recent poll measured these suspicions among 38% of Florida voters.
We are aware that the FBI, due to the murders not falling under federal jurisdiction, previously could not conduct its own case, only assist local law enforcement agencies. Cruz’s potential to capture a presidential bid, however, clearly flags a threat to our national security, and the Bureau should therefore make this matter a top priority.
We will not feel safe at night until Cruz is thoroughly investigated and, if found guilty, deported back to Canada.
