Since its creation, the internet has greatly grown in importance and is now widely used by the average citizen for routine tasks such as e-mail, research, and entertainment. The proliferation of technology in our country has allowed innovation to flourish! We can now watch our favorite movies in an instant, download our video games without a physical medium, and talk face to face with people on the other side of the world! There's a problem however. As this technology matures, it uses more and more bandwidth, a resource which some service providers now limit. Arguments that the "average" user won't use more than allotted are moot as technology continues to advance and require more bandwidth. These imposed caps will stifle innovation in our country and should be addressed by the FCC.
