Direct the FCC to reclassify broadband as a “telecommunications” service under Title 2 of the Communications Act.

In order to ensure net neutrality in the future and secure the rules from challenge the Federal Communications Committee (FCC) needs to reclassify broadband as a “telecommunications” service under Title 2 of the Communications Act and thus reclassify internet providers as common carriers. The neutrality of the internet is not just an internet issue it is an issue that will effect every facet of our country as we know it from Wall to Main Street. Without neutrality innovation will be stifled, new ideas which could create jobs and advance our country could never come to pass. Anyone who contradicts the ISPs could face reprisals in the form of bandwidth limitations. The internet may have been a luxury at one point but now it is a utility and needs to be protected for all Americans to use.
