direct federal departments and agencies to fully support the use of federal surplus items by nonprofits in disasters

Created by P.A. on November 19, 2012

Our nonprofit organization Humanitarian Air Logistics has been trying to obtain surplus US military transport aircraft via donation for use in providing first responder disaster and humanitarian airlift services. We will help the US Government and NGO’s save lives worldwide due to climate change and other factors. Current federal law allows for such donations, but the Department of Defense and supporting agencies such as the GSA are actively resisting our efforts. The President has asked all Americans to help in these emergencies but some in the federal government are not cooperating with his Directive. The aircraft we have requested are in desert storage and still have years of useful life left in them. We will also provide needed jobs for veterans and others to fly and maintain them.
