direct the FTC to require all phone companies to provide unlimited number/text blocking FREE of charge to all customers.

Since ALL phone companies SELL telephone numbers to other companies; they should be REQUIRED BY LAW to provide FREE unlimited number and text blocking to all their customers. Some companies allow you to block five numbers for a limited length of time (this block should stay in effect as long as a customer has the number). This would make the FTC's job a lot easier. Also, when a customer gives up a number, that number should automatically be added to the national Do Not Call Registry prior to being reissued to another person. Phone companies usually just hold the number for a limited time prior to reissuing the number to someone else.
