Direct government agencies to save money by switching to Garamond font, encourage the private sector to do the same.

Created by A.B. on March 28, 2014

In a recent paper in the Journal of Emerging Investigators, Suvir Mirchandani and Peter Pinko present research that indicates that there could be significant cost savings from the Federal government switching to using the Garamond font for printed documents.

We undersigned hereby invite you to explore these cost savings further, perhaps starting with a pilot project in a smaller agency or agencies. If these cost savings are found to be born out in the real world, we ask that they be applied across all Federal agencies.

Furthermore, if these cost saving can be achieved, we ask that you use the Federal government's influence to encourage State and Local governments and the private sector to implement these changes as well.
