The justice Dept. should be directed to open an investigation into whether the fundamental civil right to life of Daniel Adkins was violated by Cordell Jude and determine if federal charges are appropriate should Mr. Jude not be convicted of murder in state court. Cordell Jude shot and killed Mr. Adkins at a Taco Bell through after which Jude claimed Adkins threatened him and his girlfriend with a pipe. No pipe was discovered and Mr. Adkins was merely holding the leash of his dog who he was out walking.
